The incident occurred around 10:17 PM, prompting the deployment of seven units from the Bomberos de la Generalitat (Catalan Fire Department). The driver of the vehicle was unharmed, but her passenger became trapped inside the cabin and had to be extricated by emergency crews. He was subsequently attended to by the SEM (Emergency Medical Service).
As a consequence of the crash, a significant diesel leak also occurred from the truck's fuel tank, necessitating further measures to contain the spill and clean the roadway.
