The new season, running until December, will feature actors such as Pep Plaza, Maria Molins, Roger Coma, Miriam Iscla, Dafnis Balduz, Anna Moliner, and Joan Negrié. In addition to professional theater, music, and dance, there will be family shows and offerings from local entities like Ja Cobrarem, the Casal de l’Obrera, Amics de la Música, Òmnium Selva Marítima, the Associació Hispano Americana, and the choir Ars Nova. The Montphoto festival and screenings by Cineclub Adler or Amics del Cinema complete the lineup.
The celebration of the Theatre's 15th anniversary, which began its activity in 2011, will feature a special event on November 28th. This milestone highlights the venue's role as a cultural benchmark in Lloret and the southern Costa Brava. Autumn will also host the closing of the 75th anniversary of the Casal de l’Obrera on November 8th, with a day of humor and theater.
As a new addition, a cycle dedicated to the writer Montserrat Roig is being launched, coinciding with the 80th anniversary of her birth. This cycle, promoted by the bookstore Can Gallissà, the Lloret Library, and the Theatre, will include the play Estimada Montserrat, encara que sigui mentida by Amargura Cultura, a reading of the author's texts, and a talk by Joan Casas i Fuster. It aims to highlight the writer's connection with Lloret de Mar, where her grandfather is buried in the modernist cemetery.
Among the notable performances are El substitut with Pep Plaza (October 16th), which reclaims his artistic facet; Göteborg (October 30th), a romantic thriller starring Maria Molins and Roger Coma; Tu em vas prometre una història d’amor (November 21st), a comedy by Helena Tornero; I say potato (December 5th) with Anna Moliner and Joan Negrié; and Honestedat (December 20th), an interpretative duel between Miriam Iscla and Dafnis Balduz.
The Councillor for the Theatre, Frederic Guich, emphasized the program's commitment to truth and diversity. The director, Amaranta Gibert, noted that the shows will address themes such as the construction of narratives, the fight against hate speech, the right to decent housing, LGBTQI+ rights, affective relationships, abuse, identity, communication barriers, patriarchy, and the rise of the far-right. The mayor, Adrià Lamelas, highlighted the dual aspect of enjoyment and social commitment in the program.
Ticket and season ticket sales for the new season began on August 31st for members of the Amics del Teatre, and on September 1st for the general public, both online and at the theatre's box office.
