The electricity company Endesa, through its network subsidiary e-distribución, has announced an investment plan of 3.2 million euros for the electricity grid of the municipality of Vidreres, in la Selva, during the years 2026 and 2027. This plan includes actions already carried out, projects in the permitting phase, and new works planned to enhance the quality and reliability of the electrical supply in the town.
This investment effort is part of Endesa's strategy to continuously improve its distribution network throughout the territory, aiming to strengthen the resilience of electrical infrastructures and adapt them to new challenges arising from electrification.
The most significant portion, exceeding 2.1 million euros, will be allocated to the creation of new electrical rings. These infrastructures allow for the connection of different network sectors and provide alternative power supply routes in case of incidents, breakdowns, or maintenance work, thus facilitating rapid service restoration and minimizing interruptions. Endesa plans to connect the urbanizations of la Goba and Can Carbonell, create a new grid in the industrial estate, and implement new ring closures around King Park and the Mestral street area, as well as eliminate an overhead line section.
The plan also includes actions on the medium-voltage network to strengthen infrastructure and prepare it for evolving demand. Cable replacement is underway in the Puigventós and Aiguaviva Park urbanizations, a new transformer station will be built, undergrounding of electrical lines will be carried out, and the network in Lloret Blau will be re-powered.
Finally, actions will be taken on the low-voltage network in various sections of Mas Flacià, Aiguaviva Park, and Puigventós, with the aim of modernizing existing facilities, improving performance, and reinforcing the quality and continuity of the supply.
