Blanes hosted the 41st Nit de Sant Bonós Popular Walk with 5,500 participants. The event, which commenced at half-past ten on Saturday night, is one of the most crowded in the municipality. Despite the set limit, many individuals joined without being registered or wearing bibs.
Participants completed a 8-kilometer circular route, starting and finishing at the Passeig de Mar, passing through various parts of the town with inclines and declines. This challenge is undertaken by people of all ages, often with family or large groups of friends.
As a new feature this year, the start was brought forward and widened to improve participant flow. Plaça Catalunya was reinforced with barriers to better manage the march's progression.
Although it is a popular walk, many athletes used it for training. Local athlete Buba Sabally was crowned the male champion for the second consecutive year, while Ariadna Mateu was the fastest woman, noting that she exercises regularly despite not belonging to any club or being registered.
Before the start, the mayor of Blanes, Jordi Hernández, presented a check for 2,000 euros to MIFAS, a non-profit organization dedicated to the social inclusion of people with physical disabilities. This sum, raised through voluntary donations from participants, has doubled the amount collected in 2025.
