The Girona Provincial Council has awarded €4,221.89 to the Lloret de Mar City Council to bolster Civil Protection equipment.

The Girona Provincial Council has granted a subsidy of €4,221.89 to the Lloret de Mar City Council. This financial contribution is earmarked for the purchase of essential material and equipment for the local Civil Protection unit.
The aim of this investment is to renew and expand available resources, thereby enhancing the response capacity of volunteers and the quality of services provided to the public. The subsidy will partially cover the acquisition of several key items.
Among the newly acquired equipment are three manikins for practicing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), which will be used in the free courses offered by Civil Protection. Additionally, three aquatic rescue vests, two rescue helmets, a chainsaw, a fire-fighting backpack, and a forest lance have been incorporated.
Furthermore, the City Council is in the process of acquiring two motorcycles. These vehicles will increase the available resources and facilitate volunteer mobility during preventive services and emergency operations.
This subsidy from the Girona Provincial Council is part of a municipal aid program aimed at entities with Civil Protection volunteer associations. The Lloret de Mar unit was formally established in 2004.
