Throughout the weekend of May 30th and 31st, Vidreres will be the setting for the traditional Flower Festival. The event will feature a varied program including cultural, family, and participatory proposals, filling the streets and municipal spaces.

As a prelude, from May 25th to 29th, the “Flower Week at the Youth Space: let your creativity bloom” will be held, an initiative designed for young people to create floral decorations and set the mood for the space.

The festival will officially kick off on Saturday, May 30th, with a craft fair and demonstration workshops on Carrer Catalunya. The Joan Rigau i Sala Library will host the storytelling session “El somni de la Tina”, while the Plaça de l’Església will feature musical performances by local groups and the Conservatori de Girona.

In the afternoon, the Centre de la Vila will host a batucada gathering, and the Plaça Primer d’Octubre will inaugurate an exhibition of flowers and floral corners from local entities. This space will also be a meeting point for various musical performances throughout the day.

Saturday's program will be complemented by a participatory workshop to create a floral poster and a wine tasting in the courtyard of Can Deulofeu.

On Sunday, May 31st, the day will begin with a guided walk on local flora, organized by the Associació de Naturalistes de Girona. During the morning, the craft fair, workshops, and floral exhibition will be repeated.

Other planned activities include a mosaic workshop, a culinary workshop with medicinal herbs, and an itinerant family show. In the afternoon, the floral competition awards ceremony will take place, followed by closing remarks and a final concert.

Throughout the weekend, visitors can enjoy exhibitions and works displayed in various locations within the municipality. Registrations for the competition or workshops can be made until May 29th at the Centre Cívic Francesc Llobet.
