The Can Font house-museum in Lloret de Mar is celebrating its tenth anniversary this November with free guided tours on the 14th, 15th, 21st, and 22nd. The municipal property is the only public Indiano-style house-museum open for visits in Catalonia.

To mark its 10th anniversary, Can Font, located in the Old Town of Lloret de Mar, is offering free guided tours on November 14th, 15th, 21st, and 22nd, at 4 PM and 5 PM. This house-museum is the only publicly owned and Indiano-style one open for visits in all of Catalonia.
The Councilor for Heritage, Cristina Aymerich, highlights the building's significant heritage value, constructed in 1877 by Nicolau Font i Maig. The house combines a neoclassical facade with a modernist interior, featuring notable artisanal work in wood, iron, and stained glass, as well as sgraffito, frescoes, and mosaics.
Can Font also preserves exceptional historical elements, such as being one of the first buildings in the municipality to have electric lighting in 1877. Additionally, it has a bathroom used by the poet Jacint Verdaguer during his stay.
The activity is free and requires prior reservation through the Lloret de Mar Heritage website.
November's cultural program also includes a theatricalized story, El castell que parlava amb el mar (The Castle That Spoke to the Sea), for families, on the weekend of November 14th and 15th (11 AM) at the medieval Castell de Sant Joan. This activity, part of the Vescomtat de Cabrera Days, invites children to discover the castle's past with the help of characters like Grandpa Tonet, Romà, and Princess Sicardis.
Reservations for the theatricalized story are open on the Heritage website, with limited places available.
Finally, reservations will open for the Official Royal Page School (Escola Oficial de Patges Reials), a family-friendly scavenger hunt taking place in the Santa Clotilde Gardens on December 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th (11 AM), where the Three Wise Men seek their future pages.
