The multipurpose room of the Lloret Municipal Library hosted the talk “El català i tu” by Llenguaferits yesterday evening, which marked the start of a new edition of the Voluntariat per la llengua program.

This initiative connects people who want to practice Catalan with Catalan-speaking volunteers willing to converse in a relaxed and regular manner. The event, open to all citizens, offered a positive and encouraging perspective on the Catalan language, its diversity, its vitality, and the role that newcomers and learners can play in its transmission and daily use.
In an approachable and informative style, David Vila and Jessica Neuquelman, from Llenguaferits, invited the audience to reflect on their personal relationship with the language and the importance of using it in all areas of daily life.
Following the talk, the new language pairs participating in the program in Lloret de Mar were introduced. This initiative fosters social cohesion, cultural exchange, and integration through conversations in Catalan.
