The promenade of Lloret de Mar will transform this weekend, November 7th and 8th, into a large medieval market for the 25th edition of the Medieval Fair. The event will feature over 80 activities, including craft stalls, itinerant shows, music, demonstrations of ancient trades, a medieval village, and a children's area.
The fair, now a consolidated highlight at the start of the Sant Romà Major Festival, will recreate the medieval era with knights, troubadours, jesters, and other fantasy characters. The Councilor for Commerce, Cristina Aymerich, emphasized that it is “a highly anticipated fair, with great ambiance that kicks off the Sant Romà Major Festival”.
Saturday, November 7th, will begin at 10:30 AM with the market opening and the inaugural parade at 11 AM. Throughout the day, there will be children's shows, musical performances, knightly rounds, itinerant characters, and activities in the medieval camp, featuring shows like Knights and Dragons, Legends of the Enchanted Forest, and Secrets of the Castle. At 5 PM, the documentary La Bíblia de Sant Pere de Rodes will be screened at Hotel Marsol, and the day will conclude at 9:30 PM with the fire and circus show Flames al cel.
On Sunday, November 8th, the market opens at 10:30 AM and will offer new attractions such as a rune workshop, children's shows, acrobatics, juggling, dances, medieval music, and storytelling. The medieval camp, ancient trade demonstrations, and the children's area will be available all day, with the fair concluding at 9:30 PM.
