The event, organized by the Lloret Negre association with the support of the City Council, offers a free program featuring 14 finalist films, including both short and feature films. Additionally, there will be talks, discussions, participatory mystery activities, and the Dafne Awards ceremony.
The Councilor for Culture, Vereda López, highlighted that the festival allows for "diversifying Lloret's cultural offerings and, at the same time, projecting the town as a reference space for film dissemination and creation".
One of the highlights will be the recognition of actress and theater director Isabel Rocatti, who will receive the 2026 Honorary Award for her extensive career in theater, television, and cinema. Rocatti is known for her roles in TV3 series such as Temps de silenci and Ventdelplà.
Activities commence this Friday at the Lloret de Mar Library with the screening of the documentary La Bíblia de Sant Pere de Rodes (6:30 PM). This work, directed by Jaume Simon and produced by the Amics de Sant Esteve de Pedret, explores the origins of the monastery and its cultural legacy, featuring contributions from figures like painter Lluís Roura and forensic scientist Narcís Bardalet.
The program continues on Saturday at the Revolution and Queen Vic venues, and on Sunday at the Roger de Flor hotel. The Dafne Awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 17th (6 PM), at the Revolution nightclub, to honor excellence in film noir and police cinema.
The Lloret Negre association annually organizes two police genre festivals: a literature event in May and the film festival in October, which this year marks its fifth edition, providing visibility to emerging talents and independent productions.
