This Friday, September 4th, Solsona hosts the premiere of two new musical pieces inspired by its Festa Major, performed by Arnau Tordera and the Cobla Juvenil Ciutat de Solsona.

The vigil concert, taking place in the sala polivalent at 9:30 PM, promises a dialogue between Solsona's festive musical heritage and contemporary creation. The event, co-organized by the Ajuntament de Solsona and the Cobla Juvenil Ciutat de Solsona with the collaboration of the Agrupació de Geganters, aims to reclaim and update the music of the Festa Major.
The first part of the concert will feature Arnau Tordera, who will present a selection of his songs and premiere "Suite solsonina", a work for voice and electric guitar. The second part will be performed by the Cobla Juvenil Ciutat de Solsona, conducted by Albert Fontelles i Ramonet, who will play emblematic ballets from the Festa Major.
The highlight will be the premiere of "El drac de Solsona", a composition for cobla, percussion, and electric guitar based on Joan Roure's "Ball del drac". This piece, performed jointly by Tordera and the cobla, represents a new approach to the music associated with the festival's bestiary.
One of this year's novelties is the participation of artist Jaume Roure, creator of a series of drawings that will be projected during the concert to enhance its visual dimension. The event will be presented by journalist Marc Segués.
The vigil concert, which has featured artists such as Albert Guinovart, Alba Careta, and Roger Mas in previous editions, has established itself as a meeting point between festive tradition and contemporary musical creation. This is one of the first events of the 373rd Festa Major de Solsona.
