Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat has awarded the construction of the TramCamp operating center in Vila-seca, a key infrastructure for the future tram service expected to be operational by 2029.

The project, commissioned to a joint venture for 24.1 million euros, includes the creation of workshops, depots, and the corporate headquarters. The facilities will be built on land located between Ramon d’Olzina avenue and the A-7 motorway, covering an area of over 6,000 square meters.
The work is expected to last 20 months. The complex has been designed with scalability in mind, allowing it to support not only the initial section between Cambrils, Salou, and Vila-seca, but also future expansions towards Tarragona and Reus.
The main building will have three floors and will house the central offices from where technical and administrative operations will be coordinated. Additionally, the site will feature a specific area for parking and maintaining the train sets.
