The Altafulla City Council has opened the bidding period for cognitive and emotional activities for the elderly, aiming to ensure the continuity of the active aging program.

The Altafulla City Council has published on its Contractor Profile the tender for the contract to manage cognitive and emotional activities for the elderly. This measure aims to consolidate a service that until now was provided through minor contracts.
The municipal program intends to offer dynamics to stimulate intellectual capacities, reinforce emotional well-being, and foster social relationships to prevent isolation. As the local administration lacks the necessary resources, the management will be outsourced.
The new contract will have a duration of two years, with no possibility of extension, and is put out for tender with a base bidding budget of 22,128.20 euros (VAT exempt). The total estimated value amounts to 26,553.18 euros, considering a possible 20% increase due to higher demand.
The awarded company will be responsible for travel and all necessary material resources, and the service must be provided by at least one professional qualified as a leisure monitor.
The council will prioritize the best value for money. The economic proposal will contribute up to 70 points, while 20 points will be awarded for extending service hours beyond the minimum and 10 points for demonstrating staff experience with seniors.
The tender also includes social clauses, such as guaranteeing labor stability for the staff assigned to the service, ensuring equal pay between men and women, and committing to the use of inclusive and non-sexist language.
The deadline for submitting proposals, through a summary simplified open procedure, is next Tuesday, August 18, at 2:00 PM.
