The City Council has opened the tender for the drafting of projects that will allow the restoration of archaeological remains and the adaptation of the site, located on Carrer Eivissa, for public visits. This action marks the beginning of the second phase of the project, following the consolidation work on the perimeter slopes.
The first intervention, with an investment of approximately €87,000, focused on ensuring access safety to the site. The Councillor for Heritage, Nacho García, highlighted that this new phase "represents progress in the recovery and, above all, in the enhancement of archaeological heritage".
The contract is divided into two lots: the first for the executive project of consolidation, conservation, and restoration of archaeological structures; and the second to define access, routes, walkways, lighting, signage, and drainage systems for visits.
The awarded companies will have three months to draft the executive projects. Once validated by the municipal technical services and the Territorial Commission for Cultural Heritage, the final works can be put out to tender.
The ultimate goal is to transform the Camí de la Fonteta into a visitable and accessible archaeological space, while preserving its heritage value.
