This reading promotion activity, organized by the Consell Comarcal del Tarragonès with the collaboration of the Fundació Privada Mútua Catalana, brings stories to the region's children through tales. Participating municipalities include Vespella de Gaià, el Catllar, els Pallaresos, la Riera de Gaià, Salomó, Perafort, la Secuita, la Canonja, Roda de Berà, Constantí, Vilallonga del Camp, Altafulla, Creixell, and Torredembarra.
The thematic focus of this cycle is part of the tribute events for writer Olga Xirinacs to commemorate her 90th birthday. The aim is to introduce her intellectual heritage, particularly to the children of the Tarragonès towns.
The cycle will be presented by Agustí Farré, Joan Rioné, and Silvia Palazón, professionals with extensive experience in libraries and education. Farré will present "Olga, Genovesa," theatrical narratives, while Palazón will offer "La pescadora de paraules" (The Word Fisherwoman), aiming to connect with the author's poetry.
The storytellers have drawn inspiration from Xirinacs' children's literary works, including poems, riddles, and tales that reflect her love for the sea, the beach, the garden, and children. The selected stories aim to convey her affection for the small, everyday things that are so close to her.
