The Port of Tarragona reported an 88% decrease in truck traffic during the four working days affected by the farmers' blockade, the infrastructure announced this Monday.

This figure is compared to truck entries and exits registered during the same working days of the previous year. The port's statement noted that the impact was significantly lower during the weekend, given the typically low logistical activity.

"While respecting the collective's right to protest, we are concerned about the economic impact that these types of actions generate for the companies operating at the Port of Tarragona and all the businesses and people in the supply chain that depend on it, especially if they are prolonged."

The president of the infrastructure, Santiago Castellà, positively assessed that “the actions of the farmers' organizations developed without incidents” and that the blockade ended on Monday. This conclusion will allow “the logistics chain to return to normality” immediately.
With the mobilization now concluded, the port has called on vehicles to stop using the alternative access routes that had been enabled or utilized during the days of the protest.
