The incident occurred around 1:16 PM at kilometer 13 of the road, heading towards Reus. Five units from the Generalitat Firefighters were dispatched to the scene to combat the flames.
According to initial reports, the fire completely engulfed the heavy vehicle, and no injuries have been reported. There is also no risk of the fire spreading to the vegetation along the roadside.
“"In Tarragona, we are working on a fire involving a heavy-duty crane on the T-11, in the Les Gavarres area (alert 1:16 PM). The vehicle is completely burning, there are no affected individuals, and we are working to prevent the fire from affecting roadside vegetation."
Emergency personnel worked to extinguish the fire and ensure the safety of the road. Due to the intervention efforts, two lanes of the T-11 in the direction of Reus had to be closed, leaving only one lane open.
