The Costa Daurada is preparing for the summer season with significant modifications to its paid parking zones, affecting municipalities such as Vila-seca, L'Hospitalet de l'Infant, and Salou, aiming to improve traffic management and vehicle rotation.

With the arrival of the high season, several town councils in the Costa Daurada have announced significant changes to their regulated parking policies. In Vila-seca, for example, tariffs and season tickets remain the same as last year, but a new daily modality is being introduced, allowing parking for up to 11 hours, from 10 AM to 9 PM, exceeding the previous 4-hour limit. Additionally, a plot between Plácido Domingo, Pep Ventura, Victòria dels Àngels, and Amadeu Vives streets will be regulated to compensate for the loss of spaces due to the Cal·lípolis Experiential Center. The blue and green zones in La Pineda will be operational from June 15 to September 15.
One of the most innovative changes comes to Vandellòs i L'Hospitalet de l'Infant, which will launch a Free Regulated Parking Zone (ZERG) on Via Augusta avenue. This system, which will be activated on June 15 and run until September 15, Monday to Saturday, from 9 AM to 2 PM and from 5 PM to 9 PM, will allow one hour of free parking in the red zone. Cameras will detect parking times, and if the limit is exceeded, the information will be communicated to the Local Police for potential fines of up to 50 euros. The objective is to calm traffic, promote sustainable mobility, and facilitate rotation in the main commercial axis. The project is fully subsidized by the Catalan Traffic Service with 93,000 euros.
In Salou, with 6,808 regulated parking spaces, the main novelty is the green zone around Cap Salou, which includes 689 spaces. This initiative offers free parking for 72 hours for residents and standard blue zone rates for non-residents (1.40 euros per hour, maximum 4 hours). The town council is studying expanding this green zone to other areas of the locality to reduce costs for registered residents. The tourist blue zone will be in effect from June 1 to September 30, while the green zone will be from June 15 to September 15. Furthermore, Salou has launched season tickets for workers and long stays with discounts of up to 90%.
Other municipalities also present novelties or maintain their regulations. In Cambrils, there will be no variations in the blue zone compared to 2025, with the system fully operational from June 1. No changes are expected in Roda de Berà either, where the blue zone operates from June 15 to September 15. Altafulla, for its part, will expand its blue zone with nearly 250 new spaces on a dozen streets, such as Vinyet, Cabana, and Via Hercúlea, with four new parking meters. The blue zone in Altafulla will be in effect from June 19 to September 20. Finally, Torredembarra has postponed the expansion of coastal parking spaces, although the issue is not ruled out and ordinances are being studied.
