During the institutional meeting held this Wednesday, the downward trend in crime within the city was highlighted. Security officials specifically noted the decrease in robberies and property-related crimes.
In addition to the overall reduction in crime, the police report indicates a 3.2% increase in the case resolution rate and an 8.8% rise in the number of arrests made during the same period.
Furthermore, the Department of Interior has confirmed that the Mossos d'Esquadra force will be reinforced with 32 new officers from the latest recruitment class. It was also reported that construction on the joint police station at Battestini is scheduled for completion by 2028.
