As of Friday, September 18th, the former access known as 'l’Empalme' to Les Borges del Camp is now history. Traffic to the municipality from the N-420 now uses a new roundabout that is already operational.
Although the roundabout is not yet completely finished, with pending details, it has been asphalted and vehicles can now circulate normally. This situation has led to queues and inconveniences in recent days, but the improvement is now a reality.
During the past week, workers and heavy machinery have been busy bringing this project to fruition, a project long-awaited by the residents of Les Borges del Camp and which comes after numerous accidents at the old access point.
It is expected that the entire project, spanning a three-kilometer stretch, will be completed within the scheduled timeframe, before December 31st. This significant road improvement is in addition to other recent works, such as the repair of the road from Les Borges to Maspujols and other asphalting enhancements within the municipality.
