Minute of silence in Tarragona for the death of three minors on the beach

Hundreds of citizens, led by the President of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa, and the mayor of Tarragona, Rubén Viñuales, held a minute of silence this midday in front of the municipal palace to remember the three minors who died at L'Arrabassada beach.

The event, marked by great emotion, concluded with a long applause. According to the information provided, one of the youths, aged twelve, lost his life on Friday at the scene of the incident. The other two, aged thirteen, died at Joan XXIII hospital after being transferred in critical condition.
The city of Tarragona will remain in mourning until Monday. As a sign of respect, flags are flying at half-mast and all scheduled institutional events have been canceled.
