The plenary session of the Salou City Council has initially approved the advancement of the Specific POUM Modification for sector 04, Emprius Nord, a key step for the area's urban development.

The modification plans for the construction of approximately 1,700 social housing units, along with a similar number of market-rate housing units. This plan aims to address the housing demand in the town.
The urban planning also includes the creation of a new bus station, which will be integrated into a future intermodal hub. This initiative will enhance the municipality's connectivity and public transport services.
Furthermore, over seven hectares of land have been reserved for public facilities. These areas will be designated for future educational centers, healthcare facilities, ADIF-related installations, and other essential services for the community.
