The festivals in Salou dedicated a space to tradition with the Festive Elements Exhibition, a display of the municipality's popular culture held on Passeig Jaume I. The event highlighted the importance of the most traditional components of local celebrations.
The procession began at Plaça de les Comunitats Autònomes with the first dances of the Gegants de Salou (Salou Giants). The parade moved along the promenade, where the music of gralles (traditional Catalan wind instruments) and drums accompanied the dances of the Giants, Dwarfs, Mulasses (traditional figures), the Ball de Panderos (Tambourine Dance), and the Ball de Bastons (Stick Dance).
The event attracted numerous tourists, many of whom experienced this spectacle for the first time, as well as local residents. The day combined festivity, tradition, and participation, emphasizing the color and richness of Salou's popular culture.
Notable participants included the Mulassa de Salou, the Morena de Salou, and the fisherman giants Ramon and Maria del Mar, as well as the manotes giants Pepot and Nena. The Colla Gegantera de Salou (Salou Giant Association) demonstrated their unity and strong youth participation, ensuring the tradition's future.
