The Inspira STEAM, IncluSTEAM, and Talent Jove programs are designed to address specific educational challenges: reducing the gender gap in scientific disciplines, supporting students in socioeconomically vulnerable environments, and developing high capabilities in science and technology.
This joint initiative seeks to ensure equal opportunities and maximize the potential of all students, regardless of their gender, socioeconomic background, or individual abilities. Repsol's support, through its Tarragona Industrial Complex, is part of its commitment to developing young talent and scientific-technical vocations in the region.
Inspira STEAM focuses on awareness and guidance for girls in sixth grade of primary school and first year of ESO, using mentorships with professionals to combat gender stereotypes and highlight female role models. Since its inception in the 2018-2019 academic year in Tarragona, the program has grown significantly, from 3 schools to 30, and from 158 to over 1,600 participating students in the 2025-2026 edition, with a demonstrated positive impact on interest in STEAM disciplines and critical thinking.
Meanwhile, IncluSTEAM works with students in the first cycle of ESO from high-complexity centers and Residential Centers for Educational Action (CRAE). Through 'Science Clubs' with practical workshops and inquiry-based learning, it promotes social integration, reduces school dropout rates, and sparks interest in science among approximately 60 students annually from Tarragona and Reus.
Finally, Talent Jove targets high school students with outstanding abilities in mathematics and physics. With thirteen editions completed, it offers advanced classes comparable to the International Baccalaureate, support for the Research Project (TDR), and preparation for academic competitions. Over 50 students graduate annually, improving their results in the University Entrance Exams (PAU).
