Vale Pino (PSC) has submitted his resignation as Mayor of Torredembarra, honouring the government agreement signed with ERC and Junts at the start of the term.

The socialist councilor to date highlighted the good understanding among the three government partners, which has enabled the execution of the planned roadmap. "The captain changes, but the course remains," stated Pino, positively valuing the unblocking of projects such as the indoor swimming pool and the renovation of the old slaughterhouse. He acknowledged that "not everything" was done "well" but that he did it "to the best of my ability or knowledge".
Pino expressed his satisfaction with the tripartite pact, which he considers "extrapolable" to other municipalities, and recalled the political instability that Torredembarra has suffered in the past. "The generation that entered in 2015 did so with the aim of providing stability," he noted.
With Pino's resignation, Raúl García (ERC) is acting mayor until his official inauguration this Saturday. García has indicated that he will continue to implement the agreed roadmap, without "major changes," and has set the renovation of the old slaughterhouse, the Neighbourhood Plan, and unblocking the Auditorium Theatre as key objectives.
The future mayor also committed to initiating the construction of the new health centre and to an "approachable" mayorship focused on "being present, walking the streets, and listening to people".
