The event, presented by officer Manel López, featured speeches from authorities. The Deputy Government Delegate in Tarragona, Elisabet Romero, highlighted the population increase during the tourist season and the need to adapt security resources, emphasizing the coordination between police forces and the commitment to service. Mayor Pere Virgili advocated for adequate police structures, the incorporation of new officers and technological resources, and announced that Roda de Berà will soon join the collaboration agreement with the local police forces of the Baix Gaià region.
The Head of the Local Police, Antonio Gómez, focused his speech on the people within the force, noting the integration of new officers and, for the first time, a woman in the command scale. He thanked the collaboration of various police bodies and the Civil Protection Volunteers Association of Roda de Berà.
Numerous police commanders attended the event, including representatives from the Mossos d’Esquadra, the Guardia Civil, and local police from municipalities such as Torredembarra, Creixell, Calafell, Cunit, Cubelles, and L'Ametlla de Mar, as well as the Servei Català de Trànsit.
Over forty commendations were presented to officers from the Roda de Berà Local Police and other police forces. Dedication medals were also awarded, including to corporal Francesc López (30 years) and agent Abel Arribi (25 years). In the 'medals for work' category, corporal Vanesa Zarza, agents Marco Antonio Porras, Sergi Bargans, Manel López, and Cristian Moreno were recognized, along with Joaquín Cruz from the Guardia Civil of Tarragona and Luis Gómez from the Local Police of Torredembarra.
The results of the shooting practice were also acknowledged: Antonio Sánchez (1st place), Manel Fuentes (2nd), and Miguel Ángel Aleu (3rd). Additionally, the involvement of Salvador Espriu and El Cucurull schools in student road safety was recognized, with their respective directors, Gemma Barceló and Josep Maria Pinyol, accepting the award.
