The Ecce Homo Small Festival in Roda de Berà will take place on October 9, 10, and 11. The celebration will feature a program mixing music, popular activities, and the most traditional events linked to this festivity. Local schools have collaborated in creating the program's illustrations, with selected drawings by Roc Tomás (1st year of Escola El Cucurull) and Noa Torres (1st B of Escola Salvador Espriu).
The program begins on Friday, October 9, at 10:30 PM, at the Casino Municipal, with a concert by Police Line. This performance, which had to be canceled in August due to rain, will offer a repertoire of covers in Catalan, Spanish, and English. The event is in collaboration with the association Roda Jove.
On Saturday, October 10, at 11 AM, there will be two simultaneous activities. The plaça dels Pins will host the Bowling Championship, with registrations open from 9:30 AM. In parallel, at the plaça de la Sardana, a Children's Corner Workshop with Idear will take place. The evening program will include music at the Casino Municipal starting at 11 PM with Dj Enka and Dj Rromero, organized in collaboration with Roda Jove.
Sunday, October 11, will be the main day. At 10:30 AM, at the parking lot of the old agricultural cooperative, there will be a gathering of young farmers ('pagesets i pagesetes'). Following this, a procession will begin to the parish church of Sant Bartomeu, accompanied by the giants Rigoletto i Traviata, Rodus i Berània, the batucada group SomSarau, the grallers Els Gratllats, and elements from the Bonastre procession.
At 11 AM, the solemn mass in honor of the Ecce Homo and the blessing of the fruits will be celebrated. Afterwards, the procession will return to the old Cooperative's parking lot for the official inauguration of a new mural and the unveiling of commemorative plaques dedicated to the former Cooperative and Baltasar Virgili's mosaic workshop. This will be followed by performance dances from the participating groups.
At 1:30 PM, the festival will continue at the municipal pavilion with a popular paella, where attendees must bring their own plate and cutlery. Subsequently, the Roda de Berà Skating Club will organize the traditional 'Joc del quinto' (a lottery game).
