The Consumer Price Index (CPI) closed the year 2025 in the regions of Tarragona and the Ebro with a year-on-year variation of 2.8%, identical to the figure recorded in November.

Data published this Thursday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE) confirms that inflation remained stable during the last month of the year in the demarcation, covering both Camp de Tarragona and Terres de l'Ebre. This 2.8% figure reflects constant pressure on prices.
Among the sectors that contributed most to maintaining the price increase, leisure and culture stand out, experiencing a significant rise of 3.1%. Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (0.5%), housing, water, electricity, and gas (0.6%), health (0.4%), and clothing and footwear (0.3%) also registered upticks.

Leisure and culture were the sectors with the most notable price increase, rising 3.1% during the month of December.

These increases were partially offset by the moderation or decrease in prices in other essential categories. Food registered a slight drop of -0.3%, while transport fell by -0.5%. Prices for furniture and household goods (-0.4%) and communications (-0.1%) also decreased.
