The Directorate-General for Civil Protection of the Generalitat has this morning concluded the alert phase of the Special Emergency Plan for Floods in Catalonia (INUNCAT) after the Meteorological Service of Catalonia reported an improvement in weather conditions.

Precipitation has decreased in recent hours, and the Meteorological Service of Catalonia has ended the warning for the possibility of exceeding 60 l/m² in three hours. The episode primarily affected the southern and central coastal regions of Catalonia, particularly Tarragonès, Baix Penedès, Garraf, and Baix Llobregat, with no significant incidents reported.
Regarding the road network, the Catalan Traffic Service (SCT) reports that alternative passage was provided this morning on the C-31 in Sitges due to flooding, a situation that has now been normalized.
The most significant rainfall records in 24 hours were registered in Tarragona, with 84.2 l/m²; Torredembarra, with 71.5 l/m²; and Cunit, with 62.7 l/m². In three hours, accumulations reached 49.2 l/m² in Cunit; 42.6 l/m² in Tarragona and Torredembarra; and 39.3 l/m² in Canyelles.
The Catalan Water Agency (ACA) issued two hydrological warnings during the early hours of the morning for Garraf and Baix Penedès due to the possibility of sudden increases in river and stream flows, which remain in effect. Civil Protection advises maintaining caution near rivers, streams, ravines, fords, and other flood-prone areas.
