The works have allowed for the renovation of an installation dating back to 1994, which showed deterioration and obsolete systems. The project, carried out by the company Bosir for 58,183.47 euros (VAT included), involved replacing 75 lights with new LED technology, aiming for greater energy efficiency and reduced impact on nocturnal biodiversity.
Four poles and two columns showing signs of deterioration have also been replaced, individual protections for the light points have been adapted, and part of the electrical network has been reviewed. The control and protection panels have been updated with new remote management and control systems.
Finally, one of the electrical panels has been relocated to improve accessibility, safety, and maintenance of the installation.
The Councilor for Technical Services, Vale Pino, highlighted that the initiative provides "more efficient and updated" lighting and praised the remote management systems for control and maintenance.
The project is supported by a subsidy of 29,091.74 euros from the Provincial Council of Tarragona, as part of the program to promote Economic Activity Estates (PAEs) in the Tarragona region.
