The Torredembarra City Council, in collaboration with the Centre d’Estudis Sinibald de Mas, has launched «Tresors Torrencs», a new series of 18 audiovisual reels that will explore key locations, elements, and episodes of the municipality's history.

The series, hosted by Torredembarra actress Berta Ruiz, known for her role in 3Cat's «Jo mai mai», uses a short and dynamic format to bring local heritage closer to citizens, with a special focus on young audiences. The first reel will be published on Tuesday, November 3rd.
With a duration of between one and one and a half minutes, the reels will be released every two weeks on the Viu La Torre profiles on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, on the City Council's YouTube channel, and through the Viu la Torre app.
Mayor Raúl García highlighted the importance of showcasing the heritage and stories that shape the municipality's identity. Meanwhile, the Councillor for Culture and Cultural Heritage, Daniel Pujol, explained that the project seeks new ways to disseminate local history to connect with diverse audiences, exploring from Roman and medieval pasts to life in the maritime district.
Actress Berta Ruiz expressed her enthusiasm for participating in the series, noting how preparing the scripts increased her curiosity about local heritage and the effectiveness of the reel format in combining entertainment with historical knowledge. One of the challenges was synthesizing the information from the Centre d’Estudis Sinibald de Mas into short pieces.
Beyond social media, «Tresors Torrencs» aims to be a permanent resource for educational and tourist purposes. The project will be complemented by two guided tours and a family scavenger hunt in the Old Town, planned for February and March 2027, with dates yet to be confirmed.
This initiative, which seeks continuity, is the starting point for exploring the rich history of Torredembarra, with the possibility of future editions if the proposal is well-received.
