The Youth Offices of the Comarcal Councils of Noguera, Urgell, and Pla d’Urgell have launched the second edition of the Interpool INS Ermengol IV. This initiative will grant students from the Ermengol IV Institute in Bellcaire d’Urgell free and open access to eight municipal swimming pools spread across the three regions during the summer months.
The project aims to foster connection and mobility among the young people studying at this educational center, while also promoting healthy habits and a sense of belonging to the territory. In its first edition last year, 250 passes were issued.
The unique aspect of the Ermengol IV Institute is that its student body primarily comes from eight municipalities located in the Noguera, Urgell, and Pla d’Urgell regions. The municipalities participating in this initiative are Bellcaire d’Urgell, Bellmunt d’Urgell, Castellserà, la Sentiu de Sió, la Fuliola, Linyola, Montgai, and Penelles.
To obtain the pass, students enrolled at the Ermengol IV Institute need to present their ID card and proof of summer membership for the municipal pool in their town of residence, or a payment receipt. The passes will be issued in person at the Youth Offices of the three regions until June 30th.
This initiative is part of various summer youth projects organized in these regions to provide access to swimming pools at reduced prices.
