The Department of Territory has opened the Carna solar photovoltaic plant project for public information, to be located in Nalec, Verdú, and Ciutadilla (Urgell) with 17,850 panels.

The new facility, named Carna, will have a capacity of 10 MW and will be deployed on land designated as non-urbanizable in the municipalities of Urgell. The project includes the construction of an electrical substation in Vallbona de les Monges.
The generated energy will be evacuated through an infrastructure connecting to the substation in L'Espluga de Francolí, in Conca de Barberà. This infrastructure will combine underground sections with an eleven-kilometer overhead high-voltage line.
The company promoting the project is Energia Inagotable de Carna SL, based in Madrid. The estimated investment for the construction of this photovoltaic plant exceeds 19.1 million euros.
The Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya (DOGC) has published the opening of a 60-day public information period. During this time, interested individuals and entities can consult the project documentation and submit their objections.
