The first day of the Pyrenean Business Encounter featured the presentation of the 2026 Barometer, reflecting strong optimism among attendees regarding revenue growth and job creation for the upcoming year.

The Pyrenean Business Encounter hosted the presentation of the 2026 Barometer, a key survey analyzing business leaders' perceptions of the current economic climate and their expectations in a changing global context. The results indicate a positive trend, with 81.68% of participating companies anticipating an increase in their revenue during 2026.
Forecasts also point towards profit growth, as 53.39% of respondents expect improvements, while 35.59% believe profits will remain stable. Regarding the labor market, the outlook is equally encouraging: 65.57% of companies plan to create new jobs in the next six months. The Encounter's president, Montse Pujol, highlighted the "maturity" and "track record" of the participating businesses.
The barometer also addressed immigration, with 61.45% of business leaders considering better regulation of migratory flows necessary, linking it to existing job offers. Concerning strategic allies for the European Union, the majority (43%) opted for autonomy, stating that "neither China nor the United States, it is better to go it alone." 26.38% identified China as a priority ally, and 19.69% chose the USA.
Montse Pujol emphasized that these results confirm "an optimistic, solid business community with the will to continue growing," highlighting its capacity to adapt to a changing international landscape and its role as the "main engine of employment in the country."
Thursday's agenda also includes panel discussions on startups and artificial intelligence, successful business trajectories, and a conference on longevity. The event began with talks on the new world order and Andorra's economic diversification. Friday will feature former Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and the President of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa.
