Parlon visits Tàrrega to strengthen security and infrastructure
The Minister of the Interior meets with the mayor to discuss the creation of a security campus, the relocation of the fire station, and more Mossos officers.

Minister of the Interior, Núria Parlon, has visited Tàrrega to discuss security and infrastructure enhancements, including proposals for a new training campus and fire station relocation.
The Minister of the Interior and Public Security of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Núria Parlon, made an institutional visit to Tàrrega to address citizen security matters. The Tàrrega council presented key proposals, including the creation of a Security and Emergency Training Campus, the relocation of the current Fire Station, and an increase in Mossos d’Esquadra officers.
The visit began at the Town Hall with an official reception by the mayor, Rosa Maria Perelló, and council members. The minister signed the Book of Honor, highlighting Tàrrega's commitment to the region's progress and coexistence, and assuring the support of the Department of the Interior.

Subsequently, Parlon, accompanied by the director of Territorial Services in Lleida, Josep Ramon Ibarz, and her chief of staff, Esteve Serrano, met with the council to analyze the municipality's needs in security, emergencies, and infrastructure.
One of the main proposals is the establishment in Tàrrega of a Territorial Campus for Continuing Education and Emergency Training, aimed at the retraining of security and emergency forces in Ponent, Alt Pirineu, and Aran, utilizing the grounds of La Corbella.
The mayor also proposed relocating the Tàrrega Fire Station to the industrial estate La Canaleta, to adapt it to its new category and chemical risk coverage.
Finally, a request was made for an increase in Mossos d’Esquadra officers in the city to enhance security in the urban center and its aggregated villages, including the EMD of El Talladell. The mayor emphasized the strong collaboration between the local police (Guàrdia Urbana) and the Mossos.

The Tàrrega City Council and the Department of the Interior will begin a technical evaluation phase to analyze the feasibility of the presented proposals and advance the improvement of public security and emergency services in the municipality.
