The day began with a free popular breakfast, a gesture of gratitude to the 240 members of the Amics i Amigues del Parc del Reguer association, a remarkable figure for a municipality like Tornabous. This initiative underscores the importance of citizen involvement in the conservation and improvement of the natural environment.

The program included an educational talk on birds of prey, given by a ranger from Mas de Melons, who captivated the audience with explanations about species such as the peregrine falcon and the eagle owl. Simultaneously, the park buzzed with activities for all ages, from children's games and face painting to a popular vermouth, a picnic lunch, and a concert, creating a festive and family-friendly atmosphere.

The park also showcased significant improvements. The picnic area has been renovated with the removal of diseased poplars and the planting of mulberry trees. Furthermore, the association plans to install a drip irrigation system to ensure the healthy growth of the new trees, demonstrating sustainable management of the space.

The Aplec del Reguer serves to highlight the evolution of this natural space, whose recovery began in 2010 and received a decisive boost during the pandemic. At that time, a group of volunteers altruistically committed to transforming it into a reference environment. Currently, the park features a greenway of over two kilometers, a picnic area, a children's playground, ping-pong tables, a restroom, and a library, in addition to various educational elements.
