The Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan Police) were alerted to the disturbance, which occurred near a nighttime entertainment venue. However, when patrols arrived at the scene, the fight had already concluded and those involved had dispersed.

A video of the aggression, which shows about ten young people and the use of a bladed weapon, has gone viral on social media. This circulation has heightened the concern of local residents regarding neighborhood safety.

This incident comes just months after a fatal stabbing that shook the city last August. In that previous case, the 18-year-old victim died, and the alleged 17-year-old assailant was admitted to a juvenile detention center.

Despite the seriousness of the images circulated, neither the Mossos d'Esquadra nor the Local Police in Tàrrega have any record of a formal complaint related to Sunday's fight.
