Director Jana Montllor presented the documentary On eres quan hi eres? yesterday at Cinemes Majèstic in Tàrrega, offering an intimate look at the legacy of her father, the singer-songwriter Ovidi Montllor.

The Cinemes Majèstic in Tàrrega hosted the screening of the documentary On eres quan hi eres?, directed by Jana Montllor, daughter of the poet, actor, and singer-songwriter Ovidi Montllor (1942-1995). The film, premiered last December, reviews the artistic and personal legacy of the artist within the Nova Cançó movement.

"The documentary is a very personal journey, an entry into the most intimate terrain, into the relationship between father and daughter, and not so much as a portrait of his public figure."

The session concluded with a colloquium where Jana Montllor explained that the film's creation process was “an exercise in brutal honesty” that allowed her to reconnect with her childhood and confront stored emotions.
The director emphasized that the project helped her to “access my childhood memory and repair it, an exercise in repairing the void and guilt left by the loss of a father when you are so young.”
Jana Montllor was accompanied during the colloquium by Pere Aumedes, head of the Circuit Urgellenc, and cinephile Joan Solé.
