Early Childhood and Primary Education students from the five schools in Tàrrega celebrated the penultimate school day of 2025 with the fifth edition of the popular carol singing event 'Cantem al Nadal'.

This activity, organized by the Pla Educatiu d'Entorn (Educational Environment Plan) of the capital of Urgell, was held for the fifth consecutive year under the name 'Cantem al Nadal' (Let's Sing at Christmas). The interpretation of carols and songs filled several central streets and squares of the city with excitement.
The five participating schools divided their performances across key locations. Students from the Jacint Verdaguer school sang in the Plaça de les Nacions Sense Estat, while the Vedruna Tàrrega students performed in the Plaça del Carme.
Other locations included the Carrer del Carme, at the Laberint intersection, where the children from the Àngel Guimerà school performed. Meanwhile, the children from Escola Pia offered their repertoire in the Plaça de Sant Josep de Calassanç, and the Maria-Mercè Marçal school performed in the Plaça dels Comediants.
The initiative, which successfully debuted in 2021, aims to become consolidated. The Department of Education, Social Action, Citizenship, Feminisms, and Housing intends to repeat this tradition annually around these pre-Christmas dates.
