Mas de Colom – Casa Borges in Tàrrega is hosting the temporary exhibition 'Producció íntima', an initiative by the Department of Feminisms honoring women workers in 20th-century textile trades.

The exhibition, on loan from the Tàrrega City Council, highlights with a documentary and awareness-raising tone the work of women who were involved in textile trades during the 20th century. It explores how the home often became a workspace and a survival strategy, recognizing the frequently invisible contribution of mothers, daughters, grandmothers, and neighbors to the family economy and the productive system, often without labor rights.
The exhibition, open until the end of the year, features elements such as a work table with sewing tools, vintage advertisements, posters, a list of seamstresses, and an election booth converted into an altar to the sewing machine. It also includes a collection of projected interviews and photo-embroidery pieces created by participants in a 2025 workshop.
First presented at the Sala Marsà in Tàrrega last March, the exhibition has been adapted for Mas de Colom, expanding its content to include up to 269 identified women. Furthermore, it establishes a connection with Claudina Perenya Dulot, a professional seamstress and a significant figure in the history of Mas de Colom, who served as a volunteer nurse at the former blood hospital in the municipality in 1938.
The inauguration, on October 8th, was attended by the Councilor for Feminisms, Marta Torre, and the exhibition's curator, Lluïsa Gabarra. Tickets, priced at 2 euros, are recommended to be purchased in advance via the provided link, and include access to Mas de Colom – Casa Borges.

"We are committed to recognizing all those mothers, daughters, grandmothers, aunts, and neighbors who dedicated themselves to textile trades and who, from invisibility, contributed to the family economy and the sustenance of the productive system, often without labor rights."

Claudina Perenya Dulot (born September 1914) opened a dressmaking workshop in Tàrrega in 1932 and played an active role in social life, signing the feminist manifesto "A les dones de Tàrrega" in 1933 and organizing the Les Llucietes festival in 1934. During the Civil War, she served as a nurse at the Mas de Colom Evacuation Hospital in 1938. After the Republican defeat in February 1939, she went into exile, possibly to Lyon or Cerdanya.
