With the launch of this new module, which offers seven secure parking spaces for bicycles and scooters, the municipality now has three secure parking points for these vehicles.
Concurrently, the AMB has expanded the Bicibox at the Rodalies Renfe station, increasing its capacity from seven to fourteen spaces, doubling its previous capacity.
As a result of these actions, Castellbisbal currently has three Bicibox parking facilities: the one at the Rodalies Renfe station, the new one at the FGC station in Colonia del Carme, and the one located next to the Institut Castellbisbal.
This expansion reflects the sustained growth in the use of the service within the municipality. According to AMB data, in June 2026, Castellbisbal recorded 18 active users with a valid card or pass, a 20% increase compared to the previous year.
The Bicibox system provides a secure, enclosed space for parking bicycles and personal mobility vehicles near major public transport hubs, thereby promoting more sustainable mobility.
To use the service, users must first register at www.bicibox.cat and register their vehicle. Depending on the chosen plan, the service may be free of charge.
