Officers from the Mossos d'Esquadra and the Guardia Civil are searching the IRTA-CReSA facilities in Bellaterra this Thursday, as part of secret proceedings regarding the origin of African Swine Fever.

The joint police operation began on Thursday morning at the laboratory facilities, located in the municipality of Bellaterra (Vallès Occidental). This action is part of the investigation to determine how the African Swine Fever (ASF) outbreak originated.
The entry and search warrant was ordered by the Investigating Court number 2 of Cerdanyola del Vallès. According to reports from both police forces, the preliminary proceedings have been declared secret.
