The first phase of renovation works on the Collsalarca ring road in Sabadell is almost complete, involving a total investment of 6.3 million euros to transform this key thoroughfare.

The project, divided into five phases, is now moving into its second and third stages. This intervention represents one of the most significant investments of the current term, aiming to enhance the entrance to the Ca n'Oriac neighborhood.

The municipal leadership has highlighted the quality of the work and thanked the Urban Planning technicians and the awarded company for their efforts. The main goal is to transform this one-kilometer stretch into a greener, more accessible space, compatible for both pedestrians and vehicles. Phases four and five are expected to be completed by mid-next year, with each section reopening to traffic and pedestrians as it finishes.
To date, 6,000 square meters of surface have been intervened, the roadway has been asphalted, over 100 trees have been planted, and 12 benches and a dozen waste bins have been installed. The installation of a video surveillance camera system is also being finalized. In total, the Collsalarca ring road will incorporate 522 trees. Additionally, improvements to parking have begun, with the creation of 60 new spaces next to the Pavelló del Nord and another 40 near the Parc del Nord.
The lighting connection for the first phase is scheduled for Thursday, May 14. Work on phase 2, between Llanera and Lluçanès streets, continues to advance. For phase 3, the demolition of the central promenade's pavement between Lluçanès and Selva streets began this week, and next week, work will start on the western sidewalk, between Lluçanès and Boí streets.
