Joventut Atlètica de Sabadell (JAS) sees a change in presidency with the arrival of Dani Peula, who replaces Jordi Molins after more than two decades with the club.

Jordi Molins has decided to step aside and leave the presidency of Joventut Atlètica de Sabadell (JAS) after many years as part of the board of directors. Molins, who took over the presidency in 2023, cited fatigue and professional and federation commitments as reasons for his departure. "It was difficult for me to manage everything, and I believe a change was necessary," he stated.
Molins, who also served as vice-president, will remain involved in athletics as secretary of the Catalan Athletics Federation, under the presidency of Mercè Rosich.

"I had been feeling tired for a while and had a lot of professional work, also with my position in the Catalan Federation. It was difficult for me to manage everything, and I believe a change was necessary."

The presidency of JAS will be taken over by Dani Peula, a member of the current board with a long history at the club as an athlete, director, and parent. Peula faces the new challenge with "immense enthusiasm" and a focus on the club's future.

"I take on the challenge with immense enthusiasm and with an eye on the future. I appreciate the work done so far and Jordi's dedication, who leaves us a stable club. We are 100% focused on what's next. We have ideas, a lot of energy, and a great team ready to provide an impetus in this new phase."

Peula outlined the objectives for his tenure at JAS: "We want to look forward and grow the club. The goal is clear: to further enhance grassroots sports, modernize the tools we offer our athletes to achieve their goals, and work diligently to make JAS a true benchmark for formative and competitive athletics, both in Sabadell and throughout the country."
As an athlete, Dani Peula is part of the Sabadell record in the 4x400m relay (3:17.93) set in 2012. Additionally, his son Max Peula competes for the club and was selected for the U20 European Championships. The new board, with continuity from the last year of the mandate, faces elections scheduled for June 2027.

"We are building a work team with the perspective of being able to maintain it long-term. Now we have to prove it with day-to-day work, but if the members, athletes, and team trust us, my intention is to lead the candidacy next year to consolidate the entire project we are now starting."
