The neighborhood entity has formalized the complaint for an alleged hate crime following expressions made from the Sabadell City Hall balcony. During the event, the footballer urged attendees to complete an offensive phrase directed at the president of the Spanish Government, which led to insults chanted by part of the public present at Sant Roc Square.
While congratulating the club on its promotion to the second tier of Spanish football, the federation sought to distance itself from the episode. In a statement, they emphasized that the city hall balcony is an institutional space representing all citizens and therefore cannot be used to promote tension or the degradation of democratic respect.
The federation recalled that Centre d'Esports Sabadell itself had already issued a public statement rejecting the events, considering them inappropriate for an institutional act and contrary to the sports entity's values.
In addition to legal action, the entity announced further steps: it has registered a request with the city council to consider declaring the player persona non grata and has demanded that the club's management open a firm disciplinary proceeding.
