The police operation, carried out in mid-June, focused on the towns of Terrassa, Matadepera, and Montornès del Vallès. The three individuals arrested face charges related to public health offenses for drug trafficking, criminal group membership, and electricity fraud.
During searches of two properties used for indoor cultivation, officers seized 235 marijuana plants weighing 40,944 grams. Additionally, 3,034 grams of processed plant material ready for distribution and 495 euros in cash were confiscated.
The investigation began last March following an alert from an electricity company's technical service regarding fraudulent and high electricity consumption. This prompted officers to suspect the existence of a marijuana plantation in a detached house in Matadepera. A second property used for the same purpose was later identified.
After verifying the illicit activity and identifying the group members, police obtained judicial authorization to enter and search the two cultivation sites, as well as the main suspect's residence. The facilities were fully equipped for continuous drug production.
