This project, a result of the collaboration between the Nous Cims Foundation and the Terrassa Health Consortium, aims to humanize oncological care, making it more accessible and comfortable. The initiative includes the renovation of care spaces and the implementation of support activities.
Among the improvements made, the adaptation of the Oncology Day Hospital stands out, where furniture has been renewed and the waiting room transformed to create a more welcoming atmosphere. The Domum space also features a multipurpose area that already hosts an oncological yoga cycle, aimed at both patients and families, with the goal of fostering well-being and community building.
“"The Domum space allows us to move towards more person-centered care, incorporating well-being as part of the care process and emphasizing support in a situation of vulnerability."
The Terrassa Health Consortium has scheduled weekly oncological yoga sessions until July, a practice that contributes to improving physical and emotional well-being during treatment. Additionally, new free activities adapted to the needs of oncology patients will be incorporated monthly.
With this inauguration, the University Hospital of Terrassa joins the Domum Network, an initiative that already includes more than 20 participating hospitals, such as Hospital del Mar, Hospital La Paz, and Hospital Vall d'Hebron.
