The Catalan Land Institute (INCASÒL) has greenlit the acquisition of 1,094 homes across Catalonia, with 78 of them set to join the public housing inventory in Terrassa. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to ensure housing access within the region.
The properties acquired were previously owned by InmoCaixa, a real estate company linked to CaixaBank. This purchase complements the 75 homes that INCASÒL had already bought from the same entity in Terrassa, specifically the Can Colomer block, after its protection agreement expired.
The total cost for this package of homes, which also includes 1,014 parking spaces and 239 storage units, amounts to 90 million euros. Other municipalities benefiting from this measure include Sitges (192 homes), Barcelona (186), Sant Just Desvern (120), and L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (112). In the Vallès Occidental region, Sabadell will receive an additional 9 residences.
