The new 2026-27 water polo season was presented today at the Rubí Casino, with the presence of players from Astralpool Natació Sabadell. The men's Honor Division (DHM) will start this weekend, September 19th, although the Sabadell team will debut the following Wednesday at the Mediterrani pool. The women's competition (DHF) will begin on September 26th, with the Club visiting the Horta pool.
The season will be marked by the proximity of the Water Polo World Championship and World Cup, which begin at the end of June 2027 in Budapest. For this reason, the Queen's Cup and King's Cup, to be held in Sabadell, will be brought forward to late January. The regular season will conclude on April 3rd, and the Champions League Final Fours are scheduled from May 12th to 15th in Belgrade.
Key dates include the start of the DHM on 19/9 and the DHF on 26/9. The Women's Super Cup (Mataró-Sant Andreu) will be on 12/10, while the men's (Barceloneta-CNS) will be played on 14/10 at Can Llong (7 PM). The Cups will be held on the weekends of 22-24/1 (Queen's) and 29-31/1 (King's).

During the gala, awards for the past season were also presented. In the women's category, Isa Piralkova was the top scorer, and she, along with Simone van de Kraats and Paula Crespí, were included in the ideal seven. Martina Terré (best goalkeeper) was also recognized. In the men's category, Sergi Cabanas was part of the ideal seven and Tiago Carrió was chosen as the best U-18 player.
