Citizens who participated in the survey about the Santa Perpètua Major Festival have rated it with an average of 3.35 out of 5. According to the Councillor for Culture, Tamar Zamora, this "quite positive" perception motivates the search for improvements. A total of 481 people responded to the questionnaire, conducted on the website staperpetua.cat during September, after the celebration concluded. The objective was to gather opinions on spaces, activities, schedules, and the overall atmosphere.
The holiday date has been one of the most debated points, as more than 80% of participants prefer it to be on a Monday. The councillor announced that this proposal will be considered, and that cultural, sports, commercial, and local business entities have been asked for their opinions to assess the change if there is general consensus.
Tamar Zamora highlighted the high participation in the consultation, noting that over 70% of participants are between 26 and 60 years old. She also found it significant that 16% are under 26 years old, a teenage and young adult demographic that, according to the councillor, should be listened to and taken into account.
The aspects that received the highest scores were the fireworks display, the atmosphere, and security. The most highly rated activities include the fireworks, concerts in the Central Park, and the vermouths and afternoon gatherings. The councillor emphasized the positive rating of the sense of security and the activities programmed by the municipality's cultural and sports sectors.
Among the areas for improvement, the survey suggests expanding the musical styles at the Deskoncerts (Disconcerts) and preventing some activities from overlapping. "We will take this very much into account," Zamora stated, adding that the Deskoncerts and Major Festival commissions have already begun working to address these issues.
